Research Area:

Dr. Hou Chunsheng got his Ph.D. degree in South China Agricultural University in 2012 and now as a Professor in the Institute of Bast Fiber Crops, CAAS. Prof. Hou’s research focuses mainly on the key genes and pathways involved in biosynthesis of functional components of natural products, and then uses these functional components to make functional food, biomaterials and other environmentally friendly materials. Also, omics and biosynthesis technology is applied to create the germplasm with high content of functional components.
