Brief Introduction:

Professor Su is a master’s supervisor, and a scientist in the National Agro-Industry Technology Research System for Crops of Bast and Leaf Fiber. As the leader of the Innovation Team of Germplasm Resources Collection and Utilization of Southern Characteristic Crops, he has received 9 awards, including 4 national awards and 5 provincial and ministerial awards. His team is engaged in the collection, conservation, identification, and sharing services of significant germplasms of economic crops in southern China, including bast fiber crops, okra, and Hunan lotus. Additionally, he has published over 60 papers, including more than 20 SCI papers, served as chief editor for 5 books, and contributed to the editing of 8 books. Prof. Su has mentored 2 postdoctoral students and 14 master's students.

Professor Su's research focuses on the following areas:

1. Collection, preservation, identification, and sharing services of germplasm resources for southern economic crops.

2. Gene mining and molecular mechanism research on important traits of southern economic crops.

3. Exploitation, creation, technological innovation, and industrial application of germplasm resources for southern economic crops.
