Research objective:
To meet the national demands of non-grain feed, livestock and poultry nutrition and health, and antibiotic-free requirements, the team is conducting research on the development and utilization of functional feeds such as enzymes, probiotics, plant active functional ingredients, and unconventional feed raw materials with southern characteristics in the southern region.
Research topic:
This team focuses on the application of enzymes, high-quality forage from southern regions, probiotics, and active functional components of plants in livestock and poultry. Specifically, they achieve precise and targeted regulation of enzyme functions from various aspects such as substrate recognition, catalytic efficiency, and enzyme loading, enabling the application of antioxidant stress enzymes and other enzyme preparations in livestock and poultry. Furthermore, they utilize southern characteristic plant resources as raw materials to analyze the quality characteristics of plant resources and the mechanism of action of functional active components. They innovate functional protein materials such as biocatalysts, promote intelligent optimization and high-value utilization of microbial and enzyme fermentation in plant fibers and protein, and integrate and innovate biotechnological processes using independently developed functional plant resources. This aims to create efficient, safe, green, and healthy new bio-fermented feed products, enhancing the safe utilization and efficiency of feed protein and fiber.
Research achievement:
The team has been awarded the second prize of Hunan Province Science and Technology Progress Award for "Research and Application of High-efficiency Utilization and Meat and Egg Quality Regulation Technology of High-quality Duck Feed" and the third prize of Hunan Province Science and Technology Progress Award for "Research and Application of Southern Green Feed (Jute) Combined Harvester and Agricultural Integration Technology".
