Research objective:
To meet the demand of agricultural production and people's life and health, this team innovates bio-refining and targeted disassembly technologies for specialty agricultural products in Southern China and promotes their high-value utilization.
Research topic:
The team focuses on microbial resources protection and strain innovation for agricultural products processing, for example, the team has collected more than four thousand strains including lactic acid bacteria, yeast and edible fungi; Secondly, the team also focuses on directional disassembly and efficacy evaluation of functional components in agricultural products, such as biosurfactants, oligosaccharides, edible mushroom polysaccharides, lignin, etc. In addition, the team has been working on the creation and application of functional materials from agricultural products fermentation, two kinds of fermented beverages such as fermented Rosa chinensis Jacq ‘Crimson Glory’ H.T. liquid beverage, hemp seed fermented milk and the design of a factory production process has been researched and developed. And the team has been studying the efficacy of cosmetic material of jute ferments, and preparing jute moisturizing and hydrating series of skin care products.
Research achievement:
The team has been awarded two provincial awards. By using bast fiber crop by-products as substrate, Pleurotus citrinopileatus Singer, Hericium erinaceus and Ganoderma lucidum have been efficiently cultivated, which has been awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress of Hunan Province. And mycelium liquid deep fermentation of Ganoderma lucidum has been carried out to investigate the moisturizing, whitening and anti-aging activities of the fermentation solution, which has been awarded the Second prize of Hunan Provincial Technology Invention. The team has presided over 15 projects at national and provincial levels, and granted more than 20 national invention patents.
