Mr Peng is the director of Bioprocessing Research Department, Institute of Bast Fiber Crops, CAAS, Master's supervisor, National Outstanding Talent in Agricultural Research, Agricultural Science Talent (Leading Talent Category C) of CAAS, chief scientist of "Bioprocessing of Southern China's Special Agricultural Products" Team of Science and Technology Innovation Project of CAAS, director of the Processing Research Department of the National Agro-Industry Technology Research System for Crops of Bast and Leaf Fiber , scientist of the "Comprehensive Utilization of By-products", The Review expert of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects at national and provincial levels. He has received more than 10 awards at the provincial and ministerial level, 58 national invention patents (17 ranked as the first inventor), more than 100 papers published by the first or corresponding authors (more than 50 included in SCI), and 7 books co-edited. And he also focuses on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Research Area:

He focuses mainly on microbial resources and utilization, including bast fiber crop bio-degumming, fiber fuel ethanol and substrate utilization of base fiber crop by-products and processing of specialty agricultural products in southern China.
